Well it all started with a bored wet Sunday!
Needed some new hobby to distract me so went to the library and picked up a book on cake decorating! Well that was about 15 years ago now and over a mountain of flour, sugar and eggs. My poor oven hasn’t quite got over the fact he's switched on nearly constantly! My house does always smell nice though....nothing better than the smell of fresh baking cakes. the kids are always a bit upset that they don’t get to eat them though!
So after the library books and youtube I perfected my skills at the International school of sugar known as Squires Kitchen and haven’t looked back since! Mrs Macs Cakes became my job and my passion.
I love trying new techniques and buying lots of new gadgets to help me with my Cake designs. I love meeting my wonderful customers and seeing that amazed and happy response to something I have made. I love meeting brides to be and bringing their dream cake to life. And most of all I love how I can put my creative side into something that can be looked at with wonder and then eaten!
